Curtis Dan and Shelley Preece met, in September of 1986, through
timeshare resales. He, as Broker of TransAction Realty, was operating one
of only three timeshare resale brokerage firms in the West. She was the Owner
Records Director at one of the largest Timeshare Management Companies in the
West. Shortly after meeting Shelley, Dan offered her a position as an Escrow
Agent with his firm. This would prove to be the first step toward the
beginning of a happy and
rewarding partnership.
Curtis and Shelley have a
34-year old daughter; 32-year old son; and a 13-year old son (Cole). They also
have seven grand daughters and one grand son.
The
owner and founder of TransAction Realty, Curtis has been a licensed Real
Estate Broker in the State of Utah since 1979 (license number 5469006-PB00).
He has been involved in all aspects of marketing timeshares since 1981. He was
the originating broker at several resorts located in Utah and Wyoming, and the
Director of Marketing for same. Curtis was one of the first originators of the
business practice of never charging any upfront marketing costs to sellers on
the timeshare resale market.
